I NEED TO LEARN

Taking photos has always been a pleasurable pastime for me. I often bring my point and shoot camera then and take pictures of anything I would like to. That's why I decided to buy an entry level dslr camera last December to be a little more serious of this hobby.

Others think that if you already have this kind of camera, then all your photos will turned out great. I am sorry but it is actually not. Having it will require quality time to get to know that thing! LOL. My new camera has been with me for like almost 2 months now and ask me what settings to do for a certain shot - I'll laugh hard at you coz in all honesty, I don't have any clue!

Talk about ISO, shutter speed, aperture and all others? Oh please, give me some time to comprehend baby. Haha! I am one impatient person who really can't endure reading manuals and watching online video tutorials. But I know that I should force myself to. Because if not, then I won't really be able to master it.

It still excites me though, but what I need now is patience for me to really learn the do's and don'ts. I am actually thinking of making another blog and posts there the photos, so I could also see if it is improving or what not. Hoping I could find time soon!

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

When asked by my friends what I would want this holidays, the only phrase that comes out of my mouth is "All I want for Christmas is Canon." LOL! Just recently bought one as a gift for myself, but now that I got it, seems that I can't find time to bond with it. Haha. Or I just need to accept the fact that I am too lazy to read the manual or even check tutorial videos online. I am excited to learn but don't know exactly how to begin. I am seeking help from friends who knew how, but then again, I still have a long way to go. Can't wait till I've mastered the do's and don'ts with my new cam.

And oh, by the way, don't you think the necklaces above was so cute? LOL. I actually have one, coz I find it real cute!

WORLD TEACHERS' DAY

These were old photos taken when I was having my student teaching. Yes, I am an Education graduate and a licensed teacher. I was just not able to practice it after I graduated because I decided to work at a BPO company.

Every teacher has a mission. You can't help but be attached to your students, loving them like your own children and making sure they are on the right path. The pay you receive for this kind of profession might not be enough but seeing your students achieve their goals and thanking you for being a big part of their success makes the hardships all worth it.

Being an educator is not just a profession but rather a vocation. Every teacher should be a good example to their students. That's why I guess, I am too afraid to take that responsibility right now, because I know it will not be a piece of cake. You need to set your body and mind once you've decided to become a full pledged teacher. I am just so honest to say I am not yet ready to fulfill those duties.

But I miss teaching...

For all the teachers out there ~
Happy World Teachers' Day!

KEEP LEARNING

Today was my 3rd day in training, got 2 more days to go. I am learning a lot. I've always wanted stuffs like this once in a while, like attending a course. Cannot really be a formal class or school, but like a session wherein you can learn something else. It makes your mind renewed.

Learning is just so cool!

PASSION FOR TEACHING

I was browsing some old pictures on my computer when I saw the folder during the time that I was having my practice teaching. I missed those days. Teaching was actually my passion, I do love to be in front of a class, having a discussion and basically teaching students. I am the type of teacher that would always want the class to be fun because I don't want my students to be bored. My style of teaching is that I would make games every now and then, just so to review the things we've discussed from the past. My students were loving it, they are having so much fun and they were learning too at the same time. I can say that they can't wait for each time that we are going to review and have games again. It's one thing that motivates them to study and little did they know that they are already learning.

But when I had my practice teaching, I realized that it was not all about teaching. Being an educator requires a lot of dedication and love to your students. It's like a vocation, you can feel that you serve as an inspiration to your students and you should also be an example to them. Which I think I am not prepared to do. I got so many issues in life that I need to work on as well, and I am just brave enough to admit that I may not be a good example to my students. Would you like a naughty teacher for your kids? Hahaha. Well, if the time comes that I would really want to teach already, I know that I can do it with flying colors (i'm not bragging, right? LOL). I guess I'm just not ready for it now...

The woman in the middle was my mentor
when I had my second practice teaching.
I am so grateful that I had her 'coz she taught me a lot,
not just for being a teacher but with life as well.
