It's raining cats and dogs while I am making this post, accompanied by thunder and lightning. I used to be scared of them when I was a kid. A little bit till now, I guess! I am currently in my room with my son beside me who is watching TV whom by the way doesn't mind the thunders and lightnings. He just actually laughed at me when I screech a little as I got startled earlier. Such a sweetie, right?! *Sarcasm* LOL!

I'M BUSY LIVING
Haven't visited my blog for like a week. Me was so occupied lately and would always want to rest during my free hours. Not much happened. Work still eat most of my time. Haha! I am truly blessed that I have my lil' man at the end of the day. At times I wish that I could just be a full-time Mom, but that would be an impossible wish for a single-parent like me. I am just so thankful to God for giving me such a wonderful son, he completes me. :)

1ST DAY OF SCHOOL STORIES
It's my Lil' Man's 1st day at school earlier and I was able to fetch him right after my shift. My day at work has been a long one. Reported so early and had gone home really late. But hearing my son's "1st day of school" stories and seeing excitement in him removes all the stress in me. He is definitely all I need to live!

CHILDHOOD DAYS
It was our company's sports fest last Sunday. It was held at UP Human Kinetics Gym. It was the opening of the said event that's why I decided to come. I just usually attend on the first or opening day. We also had our sports fest at the same venue last year. But this time, outside the gym, there's this play ground like obstacles. Seeing those amazed me and brings you back to your childhood memories.
I remember so well how addicted I am to playgrounds when I was a kid. All those see-saws, swings, slides, play houses - they drive me crazy! I would always want to play outdoors whenever I had a chance. Playgrounds then are like heaven to me. LOL! Being in those kind of places just gives so much happiness when you're a kid. Whenever you're there, you keep on wishing that the day won't end so that you just have to stay there. Those were the days wherein the hardest decision is choosing what games to play.
Now that I have my own kid, I am thinking that maybe, if me and my son would spend 1 day at a playground, I might act more like a kid than him. Haha! Kidding aside, I got to admit that up until now, seeing playgrounds still bring out that excitement in me. It's so fun to be a kid!
The 'dirty ice cream' - they're the best! Back then, in a late afternoon, I've been waiting to hear the sound of the dirty ice cream vendor's ringing bell, coz' it means that it's time for ice cream! So childlike, I know. It's just nice to go back and reminisce your childhood once in a while. Those days where decisions were made by "enie, menie, miny, moe" and not being found in hide-and-seek was your biggest worry in life. =)

KUDOS TO ALL THE SINGLE PARENT
Being a single parent is twice the work, twice the stress and twice the tears. But it's also twice the hugs, twice the love and twice the pride. Kudos to all the single parent out there! I'm proud to be one.

UNLIMITED WISHES
If I had one wish...
I would wish for unlimited wishes.
That makes sense! Who would not want that? It'll be so cool to have a never ending wishlist and then they would simply come true. Just like the magic lamp. Here I go again, childish imaginations. =)

BANANAMAN.. LOL!
Browsing photos from the web and saw this. It really made me laughing out loud! The faces of those fruits are just so funny. Wahahahhahaha. I think it'll be a cool cartoon series to watch and have a title like Bananaman! or Banana is the Man! Hahahaha. I can't help it, their looks are hilarious. LOL!

MY VALENTINO
My Valentine date? Who else but my lil' man. We had some food trips and watched a movie. He's always been my Valentine every year. It's so nice to have a date with your kid, it gives a much better feeling than a couple's date.
He's now 9 years old. Soon, I know he'll ask some girls to be his Valentine. Would probably give flowers and chocolates to his date. I don't know! Guess I am not ready to let my son date girls that would catch his attention. I'll be a jealous Mom! Worst if I get to be the wicked Mom. LOL! But even if that time comes, still, he'll be the constant man in my life that I am sure would always be there.

HE COMPLETES MY DAY
My lil' man is sooooo sweet! As of this writing, we're here at our room, he's watching cartoons and I am browsing the net. He was eating pork cracklings while watching and he also keeps on feeding me. He always make sure that we share everything.
He is actually asking me to stop browsing the net and is commanding me to go to sleep now. Oh well, I am about to follow him after this post. LOL! These are the wonders that completes my day and I am a one lucky Mom.
I have a parole officer, a boss, a body guard, a counselor all wrapped into one, he's 9 years old and he's my son!!!

HAPPY AND FLY
As Peter Pan says:
Just think of happy thoughts and you'll fly!
That would be cool, right? I am thinking of happy thoughts right about now. And if that saying was only true, I'll already be roaming around the sky. Haha.

RAINBOW
I just remember, I saw a rainbow twice last week. It was morning, me and some colleagues were on a cigarette break when I saw the first rainbow. Then 2 days after, we saw the second one at exactly the same spot, that was morning too. Me and my colleagues were like reminiscing how you would like to look for the end of the rainbow when you were still a kid, to see the pot of gold and thinking that a leprechaun might be there too. LOL!
Seeing a rainbow after the rain when I was a kid was like an amazing experience, because it seldom happens. And when I saw rainbows again last week, I still felt that same sentiments. Too bad I was not able to capture it with my cam.
Let me end this post with a simple inspirational thought:
"If you want the rainbow,
sometimes you gotta put up with the rain."

VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN
Change your Facebook profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood and invite your friends to do the same. Until Monday (December 6, 2010) there should be no human faces on Facebook, but an invasion of memories. This is for violence against children. Spread the word!
I pick the photo above as my profile pic in Facebook. She's Bulma from Dragon Ball. It's my favorite cartoon to watch back then together with my siblings. I remember, Sega was the popular video game console that time, me and my brothers would play Dragon Ball all day. I can't remember if Bulma was in the Dragon Ball game for Sega, I always have Android 18 as my character then and also Piccolo, 'coz he was strong, though he looks like a monster villain to me. Hahahahha! Those were the childhood days that you would always want to remember.

1st DAY OF DECEMBER
Tomorrow is going to be the first day of December and Christmas is fast approaching. I am not feeling the spirit of holidays which is totally fine with me. It's the month of Christmas but it seems that everyone was just to busy to think or even prepare for the holidays. I haven't seen much of Christmas decors or even the sparkling and colorful lights during this time of the year.
But I know that it's still going to be a happy day. Maybe people simply can't leave their ongoing whatever with work, school and all. Haha. Which is what I am experiencing right now. I can't find the right time to do my holiday shopping and I am hoping I'll be able to make it this week during my off. I need to prepare my list and check who's been naughty and nice this year. LOL!
For me, Christmas is really a time for giving. Not that you only need to give gifts when it's Christmas. But gift-giving serves as a symbol of being thankful, it's also one way of expressing your greatness and love for that person who's receiving the gift. It needs not to be extravagant or expensive, as they always say, "It's the thought that truly counts."
Children were the main characters in this event. I believe that Christmas is the best holiday ever to a kid. Maybe because of the flowing gifts and the thought that Santa will grant all your wishes if you have just been good.
Now that I am a Mom, it's time to act as Santa for my son. Haha. My kiddo is actually thinking that Mr. Santa Claus really does not exist. But then again, he still hang socks in the window and put there his wish list for Christmas. I know, at the back of his mind that Mr. Santa Claus might be real after all. Or maybe, it's his way to tell me and everybody in our house what gifts he wants. LOL!
I don't want to greet everyone yet, it's too early for the greetings. I just hope everyone can buy me gifts. Happy shopping for now! Hahaha... =)

HE'S MY LIL' MAN
Never knew the beauty and depth of unconditional love till I had my son. I just can't imagine this much love do exist. I would definitely give him the world if I could. He is the greatest gift I ever received. I am hopelessly addicted to his laughter and sweet kisses. I'm just so blessed that I have my boy. Today was his special day and that makes me a Mom for 9 years. Hearing him call me "Mama" just reminds me that I have a loving lil' man by my side. He is the reason for my existence. ♥

TREE HOUSE
TREE HOUSE - it's one of my childhood fantasies. LOL! Every time I saw tree houses whether in movies or cartoons, I always think it would be so nice to have that aside from your own house. You and your playmates would just go there and play, it will be like your own territory with rules of your own. It's just so cool! Too bad we don't have a backyard with trees. Haha!
But it would really be nice to have one. Even now that I am all grown up, I still wanted to have a tree house. It can be a place wherein you can always go to when you want to be alone, away from everybody else and felt like you have a world of your own. Just like a hide out as they say. =)

BALLOON FLIGHT
Over a lunch with some friends yesterday, we've talked a little about childhood and kiddie stuffs. Can't exactly remember how the conversation went there. But I remember saying that when I was a kid, I used to believe that a bunch of balloons will fly you up in the sky. Imagine how I strongly wish to have experience that before. My friends laugh hard when I told them that. Childish thoughts, I know. LOL!
Seeing this picture, it makes me wonder again.
I would need a loooooooooot of balloons. =)

SHOELACE

Remember on my Life Chucks! post, I mentioned that I'll be buying a Chucks for my kiddo. Well, we actually went then to Converse factory sale and I bought 2 pairs for him. I just realized yesterday that it was his first pair of shoelace sneakers! Which means that he don't know how to knot a shoelace yet 'coz he always have the slip-on sneakers or the ones with magic tapes on it.
So yesterday, he asked for the other pair of Chucks and told me that he would want to wear it the next day at school 'coz it's their PE day. Then he got a little worried and asks me to teach him how to knot the shoelace. I did show him how and it's too bad that my boy is having a hard time doing it... and he is now 8 years old! So he is now starting to hate the Chucks that we bought just because he still don't know how to tie a shoelace. He ended up wearing his old sneakers with the magic tapes today. LOL!
I think I baby my kid too much that he easily gives up and would always want his Mama to help him out in everything. Hmmm... He'll learn it too, I'll be asking him to practice every now and then. Am I a freak Mom? Haha!

LONG WEEKEND

My boss gave gave me a one day leave at work. I never really planned of that leave, it's just that it'll be Labor Day at US on Monday, people there will be off to work and we think it'll be the best timing for our team to take a time out for work as well. It will be a long weekend for me and I would want to waste it pampering myself and spending time with my boy. I am missing playing at Time Zone with my son. I am thinking of watching a movie with him as well. Hmmm... It all depends on him.
Happy Weekends!
