LONG TIME NO BLOG

Yessss, I am still alive and kicking! It's been more than a month that I haven't made a post here, same goes to my photo blog. There's just a lot of stuffs going on lately that keeps me occupied. Weeks pass by too quickly, little did I know that Christmas is already around the corner. A lot of things happened in a span of one month, seems like a year. LOL. 

I seriously miss writing and posting here in my blog. This is one way for me to express my thoughts and emotions. It just feels good whenever I jot down or type in my thoughts, I wonder why. I guess it's because I am better expressing my thoughts through writing. As I always say, I'm not really comfortable being a speaker and is more of a writer. And whenever I go back and read my previous posts, it has that magical feeling of reminiscing and remembering the same exact occurrence. Weird me? I know! Haha. 

Will again be posting past events. =)

Another late post...

Had my team building at Bataan like 2 weeks ago. Me and Slice did our thing while at the beach and those are sun bathing and pictures. LOL! That's how we always are at the beach. Fun, fun fun!

A MAN'S BEST FRIEND

 I used to have my own dog before but I don't have much time taking care of it and so I decided to give it to someone. Last night, when I was on Vinz' house (a friend who is a dog lover too), he got a new dog named Chichi. he said it was a Shih Tzu. The dog is so cute, adorable and smart. When I arrived, he keeps on following me. I am not really much into dogs as I am a little scared getting bit. But Chichi is different, he is one of those dogs who is such a sweetheart that I would want to take him home, and my friend won't allow me of course! But then he promised me that once Chichi got his babies, he'll give me one. Yey!

This photos were taken like 2 weeks ago (I think). He's name is Truffles, a Chihuahua and they are the smallest breed of dog.

NEW PHOTO BLOG

I've decided to use my Tumblr account as a photo blog. Already got a Tumblr like a few years back but haven't really updated it with posts since I'm updating this blog more. Now, I'll be making it as a photo blog instead. I can't really think of a site that would make a great photo blog so I'd settle on this for now. My photo blog's title is "Through the Lens". TAKING PICTURES

I love taking pictures. There's something magical in it whenever I browse and look at pictures. It's like when you click into your camera, it stops a special moment from running away and you could always get back into that photo and feel the exact emotions you have at that particular moment. I would have to say that photography has the ability to make a moment last forever.

Photos of me and Zab or Bhe (our terms of endearment, LOL). The first two photos were really coincidence. They just happened to be the same without us realizing it until now, while we really intended the third photo to be the same as the other two. The reason why this is our favorite pose: she's small and I am tall! I always unconsciously put my arms on her head whenever we're taking pictures, and so it became our fave pose. Haha!

I MISS BLOGGING!

I've been to a lot of stuffs lately. I'm just pre-occupied with this and that and it made me neglected my blog for quite awhile. Never realized that I soooooo miss blogging. This will be my 5th post for today. Hell yeah! 


Some might find it weird and maybe wondering why bloggers felt a little bad whenever they failed to post on their blogs. You know what? I am also wondering why! LOL. Well I guess, this is our way of releasing the thoughts we have inside. I admit that I'm not a good speaker, I am having a hard time expressing myself at times. Writing makes it all easier for me to let out what I have in mind. 


My blog also serves as a diary or journal for me, it's like jotting down all those memories, good or bad. It just made me feel good entering a post in my blog every now and then. I encourage everyone to try it!

MY SHOTS

Spent last weekend at the beach. The main reason why we spent our weekends there is to have a pre-nuptial photo shoot of my colleague's sister. My colleague, her cousin and me brought our cameras to take photos of the couple. We we're not professionals, we just ask them to strike a pose then take a shot. We brought some props as well to make it more artistic. LOL! A beginner like me who doesn't know much what settings to use had a hard time taking beautiful photos. The photos at the slideshow were my shots, I find them nice (coz it's my work, of course! heehee), but it still needs a lot of improvement. I would really like to learn how to take pictures from my cam, what to do with the settings or what not. Patience, please stay with me. *SIGH*

I DIDN'T MAKE IT

I didn't make it, I'm back to smoking! Well, I kinda somehow knew I would. LOL! It was never a plan in the first place, I just stopped for a meanwhile because I am sick. But I am already putting limits into it. If before I am smoking like 2 to 3 sticks of cigarettes at my 15 minute break alone, now I tried to smoke a maximum of 3 sticks in a day. I think that'll be a good start until I could really stop smoking. Which again, I am uncertain. Haha!

7 DAYS

I have not been smoking for 7 straight days... yeah man! LOL. I do smoke a lot but not really a chain smoker though (or that's what I think? heehee). So, not having one stick of cigarette for a week was like an achievement for me. Oh yeah! Quitting smoking had never really crossed my mind yet. But I've been sick lately and my cough just won't stop that's why I decided to take a rest from smoking for awhile. Now that I've been doing it religiously for 7 days, I am having thoughts of really putting a dot into smoking. It's just a thought, it might change once I get better. That's a disclaimer. Haha!

COCINA JUAN

I am hearing a lot about Maginhawa St. at UP Teacher's Village. How a lot of restaurants are there in which they offer sumptuous meal for affordable prices. So yesterday, it was Saturday afternoon, I am just curious and so eager to go to that place. I send a text message to my high school friends and invited them to eat out. I truly love them, because they give in though it is a short notice. We were planning to see each other anyways, we just can't find time. Oh well, unplanned things as they say, were the best!

It was just me and Leslie at first. We walk along that street and look for a restaurant that has a feel-home ambiance, since our friend Lhan, will be bringing her 6 month old son. We decided to dine in at Cocina Juan. It was a very cozy place, seems like you were just in the living room of your own house. The place was not big, has no-fuss interiors, but I do like the red and yellow painted walls. They also have an outdoor dining area with tables that has cool tiles, it's perfect for coffee and some cigarette.

- My food. This is their specialty when it comes to pasta. It tastes good, I just ask for more Parmesan cheese because it's a little tasteless for me or maybe I just like salty foods.

- Did not enjoyed it. I didn't like the taste of the pizza sauce.

- I like the best! A little crisp with tasty flavor of seems like garlic powder and it becomes more delicious when you dip it into the garlic mayo.

Overall, the place and food was superb!

So, if you were a food lover like me, you will definitely enjoy Maginhawa St. I already have in mind what would be my next stop. Heehee. =)

I NEED TO LEARN

Taking photos has always been a pleasurable pastime for me. I often bring my point and shoot camera then and take pictures of anything I would like to. That's why I decided to buy an entry level dslr camera last December to be a little more serious of this hobby.

Others think that if you already have this kind of camera, then all your photos will turned out great. I am sorry but it is actually not. Having it will require quality time to get to know that thing! LOL. My new camera has been with me for like almost 2 months now and ask me what settings to do for a certain shot - I'll laugh hard at you coz in all honesty, I don't have any clue!

Talk about ISO, shutter speed, aperture and all others? Oh please, give me some time to comprehend baby. Haha! I am one impatient person who really can't endure reading manuals and watching online video tutorials. But I know that I should force myself to. Because if not, then I won't really be able to master it. 

It still excites me though, but what I need now is patience for me to really learn the do's and don'ts. I am actually thinking of making another blog and posts there the photos, so I could also see if it is improving or what not. Hoping I could find time soon!

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

When asked by my friends what I would want this holidays, the only phrase that comes out of my mouth is "All I want for Christmas is Canon." LOL! Just recently bought one as a gift for myself, but now that I got it, seems that I can't find time to bond with it. Haha. Or I just need to accept the fact that I am too lazy to read the manual or even check tutorial videos online. I am excited to learn but don't know exactly how to begin. I am seeking help from friends who knew how, but then again, I still have a long way to go. Can't wait till I've mastered the do's and don'ts with my new cam.

And oh, by the way, don't you think the necklaces above was so cute? LOL. I actually have one, coz I find it real cute!

IT'S OCTOBER

October 2010 has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays, all in one month. Supposedly this only happens once every 823 years. Would that bring any good fortune? LOL. Coz' it's me and my kiddo's month too. Guess, we'll just have to make this October worth living for. Enjoy everyone!

WEDGES

I am so addicted to wedge right now. I just can't help it. Know the feeling when you saw it in a mall, you decided to ignore but it keeps on bugging your mind and you just can't stop thinking about it? Well, I ended up buying it anyways. I just love the look of it and the comfort of wearing it instead of those slim heels or stilettos.

Shoes are one of those stuffs that I have to say is something that I am having a hard time when shopping. Why? Because I have a size of like 9 or 10 and sometimes size 10 doesn't fit me still. WTF! That's why when I found a pair that I really like and fits me and all, no questions, I'll buy it!

Just recently, me and my best gurl Marriah went on shopping. We found a place where they sell wedge shoes for about half the price at the mall. I really went gaga seeing them. Though there were some that still doesn't fit me, but now I know where to go. I have to control myself buying 'coz I don't want to end up shopping for shoes alone. I ended up buying 2 pairs. There is still a next time. LOL!

BEACH BUM

I just love the beach! Went there over the weekends with my friends and did some beach bumming. It's such a relaxing place for me. I can just stay there under the sun, watching the sunsets, hanging out at night, some bottle of beers, listening to the waves, until you fell asleep. It's really my favorite.
