This is a good idea. For those peeps who always forgot stuffs when they leave their house; having it draw beside the very last door that you're going out in your house will let you remember what you should bring. Haha! It's kinda weird but I think it is an effective reminder.

KEEP LEARNING
Today was my 3rd day in training, got 2 more days to go. I am learning a lot. I've always wanted stuffs like this once in a while, like attending a course. Cannot really be a formal class or school, but like a session wherein you can learn something else. It makes your mind renewed.
Learning is just so cool!

FOR A WEEK...
Today was something I really like. I woke so early in the morning, like 3:30am to be exact, and I realized just how much I miss to wake up in the morning. It's been a long time that I always wake up at night and asleep at day because of my work. I'm at graveyard shift, and it's really different to have a sleep at night than day.
I was scheduled for a one week managerial training for work, and it starts at 6am. I thought at first that I would have a hard time to adjust, but surprisingly, I've missed and liked it. I remember during my school days how I would woke up early and prepare for school, eat breakfast, feeling the soothing cold of morning... so refreshing!
Oh well, for one week, I'll get to experience being back to having a normal schedule and lifestyle.
Woohoo!

A YEAR AFTER THE STORM
Today will mark one year from the great flood 'Ondoy'. It was a memorable experience and it simply made you thankful for being blessed. It was an unexpected tragedy.
The day before 'Ondoy', I was in a house party at my friend's place. It was all fun because two of my friends were celebrating their birthday and it was a reunion for us as well. The rain that day just won't stop. We were all there until evening and decided to spent our night there.
Next day, it was still raining. Everybody's planning go home that day but decided to play outside while raining. So we tripped, went somewhere, played like kids. When we are about to go back at our friend's house, the flood was unstoppable. In just a snap, it suddenly went high. We don't have any choice but to stay at our friend's place. Everyone suddenly got worried.
We spent one night all together again with worried minds that time. There was no electricity, mobile phones don't have coverage, we don't have stock foods, we can see outside the height of flood, people panicking, cars being washed away by the current of flood and a lot more.
Good thing that the rain already stopped and flood were gone the next day. We could all see the aftermath that 'Ondoy' made. Remembering the look of the surroundings that time, it was a sad picture I should say. Most of the areas still don't have electricity, no phone lines, dirty roads, stores don't have much to sell - it was a difficult time.
It took months for everything to be okay and be back to normal. The worst that I had then was the days that we don't have electricity. It was freaking hard 'coz you were used to it. But I remind myself that I am still lucky because my family and loved ones were all safe.
That experience made me realize what's more worthy in life. Looking back, can't help but just be thankful.
• These were photos taken the day before 'Ondoy', everyone was just trippin' and having fun, we never thought it will be a tragedy the next day •

SHOELACE
Remember on my Life Chucks! post, I mentioned that I'll be buying a Chucks for my kiddo. Well, we actually went then to Converse factory sale and I bought 2 pairs for him. I just realized yesterday that it was his first pair of shoelace sneakers! Which means that he don't know how to knot a shoelace yet 'coz he always have the slip-on sneakers or the ones with magic tapes on it.
So yesterday, he asked for the other pair of Chucks and told me that he would want to wear it the next day at school 'coz it's their PE day. Then he got a little worried and asks me to teach him how to knot the shoelace. I did show him how and it's too bad that my boy is having a hard time doing it... and he is now 8 years old! So he is now starting to hate the Chucks that we bought just because he still don't know how to tie a shoelace. He ended up wearing his old sneakers with the magic tapes today. LOL!
I think I baby my kid too much that he easily gives up and would always want his Mama to help him out in everything. Hmmm... He'll learn it too, I'll be asking him to practice every now and then. Am I a freak Mom? Haha!

DREAM CATCHER
I like the idea of a dream catcher.
Dream catchers are one of the most fascinating traditions of Native Americans. The traditional dream catcher was intended to protect the sleeping individual from negative dreams, while letting positive dreams through. The positive dreams would slip through the hole in the center of the dream catcher, and glide down the feathers to the sleeping person below. The negative dreams would get caught up in the web, and expire when the first rays of the sun struck them. (www.dream-catchers.org)
I just wish it can do the same when falling in love.

MUSIC
Yesterday, after work, me and my colleagues decided to have some bottle of beers. There was a videoke machine to that place where we drink. It was actually fun to sing your fave songs or any song you like. Me and one of my colleagues suddenly remember something when one of the songs played.
Have you ever experience remembering the old times because of that song being played? It's like you were back to that specific time of your life just by listening to that song. It can never be a special one, it might have been that it was the time wherein that song was a hit.
So me and my colleague had felt it during those videoke hours of us. LOL! It's just so cool how a song or music can make you felt the exact feelings you had before. Music makes you reminisce and go back to those special memories of your life.
Music is what feelings sound like.

LIFE CHUCKS!
Chuck Taylor All-Stars or Converse All-Stars, also referred to as "Chucks" or "Cons". I love them! I'm not really into sneakers but whenever I see Chucks, I just fall for it. Haha!
There was an ongoing factory sale for Converse. Me and my peers went there to check the stocks. Being the compulsive shopper that I am known for, I just can't help but to buy at least one pair at that time. I even ask money from them just to buy that pair that I wanted. I've always want to have a corduroy Chucks, I saw one and there's just one pair of it, I simply cannot afford to leave without buying it. It's not the color I want though. But I still like it anyways. LOL!
I'll definitely go back there tomorrow together with my kiddo to buy a pair for him as well.

WISH RIGHT NOW
Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky
are like shooting stars?
I could really use
a wish right now,
a wish right now,
a wish right now.

AT THE BEACH
I know it's rainy season and all. But I am missing to be at the beach. Watching sunsets, quiet nights, calming sound of waves. How I miss those.

LONG WEEKEND
My boss gave gave me a one day leave at work. I never really planned of that leave, it's just that it'll be Labor Day at US on Monday, people there will be off to work and we think it'll be the best timing for our team to take a time out for work as well. It will be a long weekend for me and I would want to waste it pampering myself and spending time with my boy. I am missing playing at Time Zone with my son. I am thinking of watching a movie with him as well. Hmmm... It all depends on him.
Happy Weekends!
