MAMA CHIT'S

Me and my team went for a drink after our shift last Saturday morning. Yes, you've read it right, drinking on a Saturday morning! We ended it up around 3pm then some of us went for a snack before going home. I wanna share the place where we ate. I love the look of that restaurant, it looks like more of a diner. It was my second time to be there. I enjoyed their food the first time I went there, that was like 8 months ago. I'm a bit disappointed from my last visit 'coz the food doesn't tastes that good. I am just thinking that maybe I am just full that's why I have not like the food that much.

The place has that vintage look with all those old and unique stuffs. One wall was decorated with portraits of Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley, surrounded by black and white photos of old Manila. You could also see posters of Beatles and stuffs that would make you reminisce of the past. Remember the old black phone? With a circular dial pad? It was so cute to see. I got to say that it's really the interior that gives character to Mama Chit's.

I enjoyed these foods more than the latest dine I had at Mama Chit's. But I'll give them the benefit of a doubt. I still have reasons to go back there. Their specialty by the way are their burgers with home made patties. The burgers were good, I have to say. Budget per person starts from 100 PhP, affordable enough.

SOAK UP THE SUN

Oh yeah! Summer is here, my favorite time of the year. It seems that the gossip is not true at all. Just like what I said at my post RAINY SUMMER =(, I don't think it will be true after all. Because I can already feel the heat of sunshine as early as now. I am looking forward spending some summer weekends more at the beach. There's nothing like laying on the beach and soaking up the sun. Oh summer, you've been greatly missed - can't wait spending the coming days with you!

MY SHOTS

Spent last weekend at the beach. The main reason why we spent our weekends there is to have a pre-nuptial photo shoot of my colleague's sister. My colleague, her cousin and me brought our cameras to take photos of the couple. We we're not professionals, we just ask them to strike a pose then take a shot. We brought some props as well to make it more artistic. LOL! A beginner like me who doesn't know much what settings to use had a hard time taking beautiful photos. The photos at the slideshow were my shots, I find them nice (coz it's my work, of course! heehee), but it still needs a lot of improvement. I would really like to learn how to take pictures from my cam, what to do with the settings or what not. Patience, please stay with me. *SIGH*

PRAYERS FOR JAPAN

It's all in the news these days. Japan was hit by a strong earthquake that triggers a tsunami alert. They said that earthquake is like an everyday thing in Japan, and having this kind of earthquake happens every 20 years. I am not so sure if that is a fact. But for all the victims of this tragedy, my prayers are with them. Hoping and praying for a fast recovery to Japan and it's countrymen.

Being a single parent is twice the work, twice the stress and twice the tears. But it's also twice the hugs, twice the love and twice the pride. Kudos to all the single parent out there! I'm proud to be one.

HIGH SCHOOL BUDS

They're my high school buds. We rarely see each other and when we do, time flies so fast and a day is not enough. We chat nonstop, update each other's lives, listen to every story, laugh our hearts out and whenever we check the clock, we can't believe that a lot of hours had already passed. 

We had a coffee date last night then stay at Lhan's place. We just stay there until midnight. The pictures above is what we did before we went home, had a tripod, set the cam and strike a pose! It was all fun and we can't help but laugh to ourselves. It's 2 midnight then and we were all so awake and keeps on giggling. LOL! We all have kids now but seems like we were all high school again when we're all together. It feels so good to know that we still have each other though a lot has changed with our lives. I just know that they'll always be there whenever I needed them. :)

CUDDLE WEEKEND

Rainy days are lazy days. Makes you want to watch movies at home, eat yummy foods or do absolutely nothing. It's a rainy Saturday afternoon. Enjoy the cuddle weekend everyone!

IT'S NOT A MISTAKE, IT'S A CHOICE

Whenever a wrong move has happened to our life for the second time, we sometimes convince ourselves that it was an honest mistake. Or we tell ourselves that we didn't know it'll end up that way again and will suddenly felt like we are a victim of circumstances. The truth is, we are just trying to give justice to the wrong acts that we decided to do again. Maybe of guilt? I am not sure, but the saying above is somehow true. Once you did the same mistake, that's because it's your choice!

UNLIMITED WISHES

If I had one wish...

I would wish for unlimited wishes.

That makes sense! Who would not want that? It'll be so cool to have a never ending wishlist and then they would simply come true. Just like the magic lamp. Here I go again, childish imaginations. =)

HOTTER DAYS

It rained quite hard last night and it didn't stop until midnight. First night of March and it rained? Not good. March means summer and it's my favorite season! But news is saying that we'll be experiencing a rainy summer. I hope not coz I would definitely miss the super hot days during summer time. Am I too weird that I love hotter days? LOL!

I DIDN'T MAKE IT

I didn't make it, I'm back to smoking! Well, I kinda somehow knew I would. LOL! It was never a plan in the first place, I just stopped for a meanwhile because I am sick. But I am already putting limits into it. If before I am smoking like 2 to 3 sticks of cigarettes at my 15 minute break alone, now I tried to smoke a maximum of 3 sticks in a day. I think that'll be a good start until I could really stop smoking. Which again, I am uncertain. Haha!

IT'S MONDAY

It's Monday and it's ok! 

As if I have a choice. Even if I say that I hate Mondays, I cannot still avoid it. It'll always be part of my week, so might as well love Mondays, right? =)

SAN MIGUEL FLAVORED BEERS

Tried last night San Miguel flavored beers with buddies. In a party or an occasion, if you're really not into drinking, and is the type who would just settle for an ice tea or juice when everyone else around you are drinking alcoholic drinks, this flavored beers would be the best for you. It has 3% alcohol, so  it's still considered an alcoholic drink. But I am telling you, no bitter taste at all. For the apple flavor, it really does tastes like an apple juice while the lemon flavor tastes like 7-up or Mountain Dew for me. They're nice and sweet. LOL! I just tried both flavors, and with the 2 bottle of those beers, it didn't get me any tipsy. Well I guess it could still get you tipsy or drunk if in case you have a low tolerance for alcohol and should be drinking like more than 6 bottles of it. Haha! I've liked it. I was able to drink some flavored beers before, and they still tastes like beers, but this one really tastes like you're drinking sodas or juice. Chill it well and I am sure you're gonna enjoy it with some very good friends.

Browsing photos from the web and saw this. It really made me laughing out loud! The faces of those fruits are just so funny. Wahahahhahaha. I think it'll be a cool cartoon series to watch and have a title like Bananaman! or Banana is the Man! Hahahaha. I can't help it, their looks are hilarious. LOL!

ONCE IN A WHILE

You have to have a bad day once in a while.

7 DAYS

I have not been smoking for 7 straight days... yeah man! LOL. I do smoke a lot but not really a chain smoker though (or that's what I think? heehee). So, not having one stick of cigarette for a week was like an achievement for me. Oh yeah! Quitting smoking had never really crossed my mind yet. But I've been sick lately and my cough just won't stop that's why I decided to take a rest from smoking for awhile. Now that I've been doing it religiously for 7 days, I am having thoughts of really putting a dot into smoking. It's just a thought, it might change once I get better. That's a disclaimer. Haha!

TAKE A DEEP BREATH

There's just a lot on my plate lately and there were times I felt that it's more of what I can take. I'm the type of person who don't give up easily. Lately, I am wondering if that trait really helps me now. I am literally getting tired and sick of all these. But the doer in me still stands out. When everything that surrounds me seems like a dilemma, I just take a deep breath to calm my mind. I hope this works for long.

GO AWAY!

I've been staying home and rest all weekend and yet I am still sick! It's not helping me in any way. I've never been so sick like this before, this is the longest! Please, please, please go away and never come back...

REST DAY

At last! I was able to have a full rest. My Boss let me rest on my last day for the week since the reports and presentations were done. Plus it's my off from work. I am getting a little better. Rest is all I need. Now that it's my off, I am tempted to go out and chill. But then again, I need to rest. 

SICK OF BEING SICK!

Been sick for almost a week now. My condition does not get any better. Simply because I cannot take a full rest. Still reporting to work coz I need to, a lot of reports to do. Ever felt like dragging yourself to work? That's the exact feeling I had. I hope I get well sooooooooon!

MY VALENTINO

My Valentine date? Who else but my lil' man. We had some food trips and watched a movie. He's always been my Valentine every year. It's so nice to have a date with your kid, it gives a much better feeling than a couple's date. 

He's now 9 years old. Soon, I know he'll ask some girls to be his Valentine. Would probably give flowers and chocolates to his date. I don't know! Guess I am not ready to let my son date girls that would catch his attention. I'll be a jealous Mom! Worst if I get to be the wicked Mom. LOL! But even if that time comes, still, he'll be the constant man in my life that I am sure would always be there.

Ina - Zab - Djhaye - Che

It was Djhaye's last day at our company yesterday. He resigned and will start working for another company this week. So we spent the entire afternoon chit chatting and having fun. What we did yesterday was totally non-sense, we just wanted to spent quality time with each other. =)

It's sad 'coz we won't get to see him everyday. Though I know that we'd still be able to find time to catch up with each other's lives. But it's still much okay if we could see each other everyday, take our breaks together, coffee after work and a lot more. This time around, we won't be able to spend much time with him. I am sure he'll met new friends at his new work and would probably have less time for the old friends. That thought makes us sad. I still wish him all the luck. And I am so sure that we won't forget each other and will find time to bond again. 

You will be missed!

What a week! LOL. But still I know that rest days will come. This is it! Finally, I'm getting some rest now.

WISHING I COULD STAY

Atlas! Beach. My sweet escape, the place that I would always want to be. Being there helps me get back to 'ME'. It never failed to enliven the individuality in me. Whenever I am at the beach, things around me were simply in a state of tranquility. I will never get weary of that place.

Though I am with my team, I still had my 'Me Alone Time'. I walked alone at the shore in the morning and afternoon, enjoying the fresh breeze of air, took photos of whatever catches my eye. Being at the beach makes me loosen up with all the chaos in reality and just simply indulge with all those wonderful views.

* We did go for island hopping and being on those places just makes me forget about reality.

* In the morning, that's the time when the water is lowest or more known as low tide, that's why you could see a lot of rocks.

* Before we went home, I had my walk in the afternoon while the sun is at it's hottest, I am loving how the sunlight touches my skin.

Wishing I could stay there for long...
